Histoire
Constitué depuis 1982 par les acquisitions d’ouvrages de nouveautés et de collections rétrospectives, le fonds de la bibliothèque comprend plus de 75 000 volumes d’ouvrages et de tomaisons de revues périodiques : soit 28 000 ouvrages isolés ou en séries, 12 000 documents de type publications, séminaires, littérature grise. Le fond des collections est constitué de plus de 1000 titrs de périodiques électroniques, de 620 titres de périodiques papiers, dont 335 titres vivants.
La bibliothèque bénéficie des échanges internationaux de publications de la Société Mathématique de France et de ceux de l’Académie des Sciences (Mathématiques). Elle est la bibliothèque officielle de la SMF. Elle a bénéficié de dons importants des doubles de l’Institut Henri POINCARE (ancien cabinet des mathématiques de la Sorbonne).
Dans le fond de la bibliothèque sont particulièrement signalés :
un fond ancien de livres du XIXème et début du XXème siècle.
les fonds Gaston JULIA et Szolem MANDELBROJT (ancien directeur scientifique chez l’éditeur français GAUTHIER-VILLARS, dont la production éditoriale en mathématique s’étend sur les deux derniers siècles de l’Edition Scientifique Française. Ces fonds sont l’image fidèle de tout ce qui a été publié en France pendant plus d’un siècle et demi dans le domaine des mathématiques par la maison d’édition GAUTHIER-VILLARS. Il constitue un patrimoine scientifique national unique).

une édition de l’Encyclopédie, ou Dictionnaire raisonné des Sciences, des Arts et des métiers, par une société de gens de Lettres, mis en ordre par Denis Diderot ; & quant à la partie mathématique, par Jean Le Rond d’Alembert. édition de Genève, 1777, 39 vol. in 4° dont 3 de pl. reliés d’époque, (même édition que celle de Lausanne, de 1778)

History
Formed in 1982 with the acquisition of recent works and older collections, the CIRM library holds more than 75,000 volumes of works and tomes of periodical reviews. Among these are 28,000 isolated works in series, and 12,000 documents such as publications, seminars, and "grey litterature". The library resource is comprised of 590 titles, of which 395 are current publications.
The CIRM library benefits from international exchanges of publications between the French Mathematical Society (Société Mathématique de France or SMF) and the Academy of Mathematical Sciences, and is the official library of the SMF. It has also received a significant donation of works in double from the Institute Henri POINCARE, which was the mathematical cabinet of the Sorbonne.

A collection of books from the 19th and early 20th centuries.
The collection of Gaston JULIA et Szolem MANDELBROJT. This collection comes from the scientific director of the French editor GAUTHIER-VILLARS, which produced two centuries worth of mathematical works for the "Edition Scientifique Française". This collection represents all mathematical work that has been published in France by the publishing house GAUTHIER-VILLARS, and is a unique scientific patrimony.
A large collection of complete works.
The entire meeting reports of the French Academy of Sciences since 1795, and the memoires presented by diverse scholars to the Academy of Sciences of the Institute of France 1827-1914.
An edition of the Encyclopedia, or "Reasoned Dictionary" of Science and Engineering by a litterary society and ordered by Denis Diderot. The mathematical aspects were ordered by Jean Le Rond d’Alembert. Geneva edition, 1777, 39 volumes, in 4° three of which have the original binding - the same edition as the Lausanne edition of 1778.
Several old works dating from the the 16th to the beginning of the 19th century (1820).
