Résumé : We present heuristics that suggest that there is a uniform bound on the rank of $E(\mathbb{Q})$ as $E$ varies over all elliptic curves over $\mathbb{Q}$. This is joint work with Jennifer Park, John Voight, and Melanie Matchett Wood.
